Registration Notice for the 3rd JCSDS Short Course Series and
the Young Scholars Forum of the School of Statistics and Data Science, Southeast University
1. Event Introduction and Schedule
To enrich the program of the 3rd National Joint Conference on Statistics and Data Science (JCSDS) and further promote interaction among faculty and students in statistics and data science, the School of Statistics and Data Science at Southeast University will host the “3rd JCSDS Short Course Series and Young Scholars Forum” from July 4 to July 10, 2025. The one-week event is arranged as follows:
· Venue: Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China
· Check-in: July 4th 2025
· Scholars Forum: July 5th 2025
· Short Courses: July 6th 2025, 9:00 AM to July 10th 2025, 12:00 Noon
· Participants: Senior undergraduates, graduate students, scholars, and researchers
· Capacity: Approximately 150–200 participants
· Registration Deadline: 5:00 PM (Beijing Time) June 10th 2025
2. Course Content
The short courses will be taught by ten distinguished scholars from China and abroad in the fields of statistics and machine learning. Topics include multiple testing and cluster analysis, statistical reinforcement learning, statistical text analysis, statistical deep learning, network data analysis, high-dimensional classification, tensor analysis, network analysis in computational neuroscience, variable selection, and large language models, among others.

3. Registration Methods and Training Fees
(1) Short Course Registration
Registration for the short courses is on a rolling-admission basis. Please complete your registration information as early as possible. Successful applicants will be notified by email. Once you receive your admission notice, you must pay the training fee of 1,000CNY within 10 working days; payment confirms your registration. Detailed payment instructions will be provided in the admission email.
Accommodation and meals for participants will be arranged centrally, but costs are borne by each participant.

(2) Young Scholars Forum Registration
The Young Scholars Forum aims to provide a platform for intellectual exchange and academic debate among outstanding young talents from home and abroad. No registration form is required. Please submit the following materials by email:
· Curriculum Vitae: Including personal information, contact details, education and work history, major academic achievements (publications, projects, patents, awards, etc.), research statement, teaching statement, etc.
· Supporting Documents: Any relevant certificates or proof of achievements.
Please compile all materials into a single PDF file, add the subject line “Young Scholars Forum Registration + Your Name,” and send it to the School’s official email: stat-hire@pub.seu.edu.cn.
After review by the Organizing Committee, invitation letters will be sent to selected scholars by 24:00 on June 15, 2025. Thank you for your patience.
There is no registration fee for the forum. We will reimburse your accommodation and travel expenses for the days of the forum; other costs are the participant’s responsibility.
